I’m a Creative Director and Interface Designer focused on creating digital experiences for kids. I’ve grown up a product of Disney’s Imagineering, Apple’s tech marvels, and Nintendo’s game play. I’ve dreamt of the future with Wired and Popular Science magazines. I’m truly blessed to have been raised in a time of great cartoons, toys, computers and the internet – impatiently waiting for robots and holograms to change the world further. We’re closer than you think.
Well-implemented technologies become invisible multipliers for all the things that make it so awesome to be a kid. As they interact with technology via voice, gestures, and touch, abstractions are falling away and “digital experiences” just become experiences. They’ll be part of the child’s memories, as real as any other.
This is where I come in. This future doesn’t create itself. It requires a keen eye for the creative, technology, human interaction, child behavior, design, entertainment, and branding to create the truly compelling classics of the future. Along with the management experience to bring the best out of the multi-disciplined experts involved. I also take the ethics and responsibility of all this very seriously. I work hard and pay attention to trends. I enjoy reading business, management, and marketing books as a pass-time and mentoring my directs hands-on. The proof is in the pudding, as they say. I've helped win twelve FITC, Billboard MMX, and Marketing Magazine awards; and my work has been featured on FWA's Site of the Day and Applied Arts magazine twice. One online slot machine I designed was the world's most popular for three months; a website I designed got kids' attentions for an average of seventeen minutes; and my designs have won the return business of McDonald's Europe's 41 markets, localized in 36 languages.
I have helped develop animations, games, and interactive branding for Facebook, iOS, Android, and the rest of the Web. I've been lucky to have lead motivated teams working with genuine intentions and excitement. I'm glad to be helping create the future of entertainment, education, social interaction, gaming, and story-telling. It's fun.
